PRETTY LITTLE LIARS STYLE - EMILY

Fact: I can't wear vests. But Shay Mitchell sure can, and she rocks them pretty frequently on PLL. It makes me jealous every time. If I could have her hair too, life would be complete.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS STYLE - HANNA

In light of the freaky Pretty Little Liars finale, I decided to create some outfit inspo from the episodes. Starting off with Hanna, because she has my favorite style on the show. She always is on trend and wearing pretty shirts and dresses with structured blazers and heels. In a recent episode, she wore a lavender shirt and peach skinny jeans, which inspired the outfit below:Hanna PLL inspo

SHHHHHHH...

It's about time I let you in on a little secret. Mikkat Market is probably the best online store you will ever shop. I could go on and on about how much I love their clothes (THEY ARE SO PRETTY), but I will let them speak for themselves. Bonus, you won't be wearing the same thing as the next postgrad, like some stores (cough cough urban cough cough).

I WON'T GROW UP: COLLARS ON COLLARS ON COLLARS.

While it may seem evident from my blog that I only wear things that look like they can be used as lethal weapons, I do have a soft side too. As me and one of my best friends say, we like to play dress up. When I am at work, on a date, at the country club, I put on my chiffon flowey dress, floral prints, and pretty jewelry (and pretty lipstick, as per usual).  One demure and feminine trend I have been dying (no lethal weapon pun intended) to add into my wardrobe is peter pan collars. While I haven't rocked one since age 5, these updated looks have chic written all over them.

When rocking these styles, I like to wear them with pencil jeans, flats, loads of mascara and a topknot. Channel your inner Audrey Hepburn or Madeline. Check out these 16 finds under $50.

LUST/MUST: TARGET EDITION

Target is my favorite store, I could spend hours there looking at things I don't need and buy anyways. So today we are going to take a look into Target products vs. some other beloved brands.

I have been coveting these Dolce Vita flats at Nordstrom's for awhile now, and literally stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the pair from Target. THEY LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME. In fact, I think I may like the target versions a little bit better. My only qualm is that the comfort levels probably differs since the Dolce Vita flats are better quality.

Right: Merona, $19.99 Here.

Next up: I have been trying to get into this whole lipstick trend going on right now and decided to try out this Kate Moss for Rimmel London shown on the right. Usually I stay far away from cheap lipsticks because the texture is funky. But this lipstick is amazinggggg. It's a great shade of coral that isn't too orange (which brings out the yellow in your teeth, ew) and it is a whopping $5. Plus, the packaging is cute. Sorry NARS, I am converting.

I am a big fan of sunglasses. I have all sorts, plastic, metal, cheap, designer, retro, classic, you name it. Tom Ford has always been one of my favorite sunglasses designers (although I can't afford them!), but these Target versions are cute little cat eyes that are right on trend too.

While living in Italy, I stumbled across Brandy Melville. An Italian brand, although you think it was American because it looks like the love child of Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, and a small bit of Abercrombie, AKA the epitome of California syle. They have an endless amount of awesome graphic tee's which aren't too expensive themselves, but I am also loving this Target version with Brigitte Bardot (one of my beauty icons!).

DAY TO NIGHT: SHORTS

I had to neglect this blog a little bit recently cause my schedule has just been absolutely nuts. Besides leaving for Israel tomorrow, I also hosted all my friends for a reunion weekend. When we went out, quite a few of my friends were rocking shorts and heels and I must say, the combo is absolutely killer. As a big fan of shorts (as in I don't ever wear pants. ever.), I have been waiting for dressy shorts to catch on as a nighttime staple. I have been experimenting in my own closet with taking my day time shorts to night time, and compiled two outfits with one pair of shorts to give you a look:

Shorts: Day to Night
Day look: continuing with the menswear trend we had going on earlier this week, I suggest pairing feminine shorts with a boyfriend chambray top, sneakers, and a statement necklace. Pretty lipstick is a bonus :)

Night: To dress shorts up a little bit, pair them with silk, chiffon, or sequined tops. I find that stilettos with shorts tend to look a little trashy, so throw on some chunky heels. Add a clutch and you are ready to go!

Shorts: Calypso St. Barths, $79

Day Look:
Chambray Shirt, Madewell $70 - Necklace, Anthropologie $48
Sneakers, Superga $62 - Bag, Longchamp $145

 Night Look:
Zip Bralet, Topshop $26 - Chiffon Blazer, romwe.com $48
Heels, Steve Madden $90 - Clutch, $25 boohoo.com - Skull Ring, Windsor $11
